Photographic and audiovisual research exhibited at the Infante 1415 Creation Center in Santiago, Chile. The exhibition comprises 83 photographs printed on photographic paper and two audiovisual projections: a documentary and video art.
The project explores a realm where life and death coexist. Tierra del Fuego serves as a metaphor for a transitional territory where body and flesh separate from bone. This observation stems from the abundance of decomposing animal bones scattered across the island’s open landscape. The geography and the expanse of animal bones tell the story of a Patagonia that no longer exists.
The photographic material captures scenes of the pampas, forests, and ranch life. It juxtaposes the context and its inhabitants with the bones that evoke memories of wild horses past. Thus, the gallery walls narrate the coexistence of man with the presence of memory.
